With Deepest Sorrow, Passing of Dr. Farideh Toorany

Dear IAAP members,
It is with deepest sorrow that IAAP brings you the shocking news of the untimely demise of Dr. Farideh Toorany, a member of the Board of Directors and wife of Dr. Manouchehr Farkhondeh, due to severe injuries sustained in the recent explosion of Sina Clinic in Iran. She was a kind soul whose mere appearance filled the room with joy. Her radiant presence and compassionate smile will be forever missed. May she Rest In Peace.

The 2020 Scholarship Program is postponed until further notice because of COVID-19

Greetings!

The Scholarship Program is a quintessence of IAAP. Every year, the IAAP family looks forward to the scholarship ceremony to celebrate the achievements of some of the most exemplary young members of the Iranian-American community. The 2020 ceremony, however, is now being threatened to derail by the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, the IAAP Board of Directors has decided to postpone this year’s scholarship program until future notice. The application portal will not be available in the interim.

We thank the individuals who took the time to prepare and submit their applications in the past two weeks. Their applications will be considered once the program is resumed. However, if they wish, they can revise and resubmit their applications once the portal is reopened.

We hope the pandemic abates soon so that we can continue receiving applications. Please stay well in the meantime.

Best,

IAAP
