IAAP student scholarship ceremony for the year 2013 was held on Thursday Nov. 14 2013.

The main objective of Student Scholarship:

  • To recognize the outstanding academic achievements and excellent service to the Iranian and Iranian-American Communities by Iranian college students attending universities in the DC area and the Eastern United States.
  • To promote the financial support of these scholarships among the large Iranian community in the area.

Award Selection Process

 

A sample score sheet for PhD category

Award Decision Process
  • Competition in each degree category is kept separate from other categories, i.e., all BS applications compete with each other, MSs with Ms and PhD with PhDs.
  • Each Committee members evaluates assigned applications and ranks applicants based on scores received
  • Overall ranking in each category is finalized in a Scholarship Committee meeting by discussing each application and comparing panel members scores and ranking.
  • Number of award in each degree category is roughly proportional to the number of applications in that category.
